A community event, both local and international
On May 27, cutting edge Bay Area chamber groups will join local musicians and young artists from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for a special concert benefiting victims of the devastating Japan earthquake and Pacific tsunami.  The program features the firey four-hands piano of Zofo, the funky and soulful bass clarinets of Sqwonk, the captivating strings and voices of Real Vocal String Quartet, the spirited strings and keys of the Aleron Trio, a new cello sonata by David Conte, and celebrated chamber and orchestral masterworks by Brahms, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schoenfield, and Takemitsu.  We are also proud and excited to be joined by musicians from Bay Area Rainbow Symphony, Symphony Parnassus, and American Philharmonic

All proceeds from the concert will go to the American Red Cross, assisting their valuable and needed work in Japan and the Pacific.  Admission will be by suggested donation, so please give as you are able. Your contribution makes a difference.

Give right now, from anywhere!
There's no need to wait until May 27 to make a donation, and you don't need to live in the Bay Area to support the cause.  We're raising funds online right now. Visit the Red Cross' Songs for Relief donation page to show your support from near or far.  Together we can help provide much needed assistance right away.  If you are attending the concert and give online in advance, we'll have your name at the box office, along with a big thank you.
