Why Give

On Friday, March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck 43 miles off Japan's northeast coast, rattling the country and sending tsunami waves up to 125 feet tall crashing into coastline communities.  With nearly 15,000 confirmed deaths, more than 5,000 injuries, some 10,000 people missing, more than 125,000 buildings damaged or destroyed, and numerous resulting nuclear accidents, the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami was one of the most devastating natural disasters ever recorded.  Songs for Relief is proud to support the work of the American Red Cross to bring food, medicine, and counseling to victims of the disaster.  100% of your contribution will go directly to the Red Cross.

Give right now, from anywhere!
There's no need to wait until May 27 to make a donation, and you don't need to live in the Bay Area to support the cause.  We're raising funds online right now. Visit the Red Cross' Songs for Relief donation page to show your support from near or far.  Together we can help provide much needed assistance right away.  If you are attending the concert and give online in advance, we'll have your name at the box office, along with a big thank you.
